Gowanus Girls launched as a market, operating pop-up style, for two weekends in October, 2012. The market combined what established Brooklyn presence, Curious Jane Camp, does so well – girls + design + community — in new ways. Talented female designers and food makers came together in the magical setting of the Gowanus Grove to sell their fabulous, original creations.
Since running the market, we have produced other events like Chaos Cooking, Make-It / Take-It, and She*s Crafty. The CJ offices are Gowanus-based, and we all have a love of and enthusiasm for the emerging neighborhood, its residents, and other fellow business owners. Please peek at our main page for upcoming festivities!
Though the Gowanus Grove has been slated for development, we do hope to keep our market alive and kicking via other local venues. We already have a few ideas in the works!
